Alba joined our family in 2022 as a puppy, almost at the same time as Arkas. The two have grown up like siblings ever since. In terms of personality, however, she is the complete opposite of her “brother.” We’re often reminded of the image of a little angel and a little devil – and the colors play no small part in this comparison. White-and-grey Alba stands opposite a black whirlwind who can’t seem to control his own energy.

Alba, on the other hand, is an exceptionally gentle, cautious, and relaxed dog – qualities that are quite rare for young, high-energy sled dogs. Want a little example? During Alba’s first winter, while almost all the dogs were out on tour, two reindeer settled down on the other side of the fence. Little Alba often sat peacefully by the fence, calmly watching them without the slightest fuss. Truly, a little angel.

Date of Birth: July 11, 2022

Name Origin: Italian wine region (named after her father, Barolo)
The name Alba comes from the Piedmont region in Italy – a world-famous wine area especially known for its fine wines like Barolo. Just like the region she’s named after, Alba exudes a quiet elegance and calm. Her name reflects both her family roots and a touch of Italian beauty and grace.
